Hi guys - I'm reposting this, along with first reply:

I'm just about to build a new rig, please see below for the parts I'm looking at.
This needs to last me a good few years (4-5 hopefully), so I'm not looking to absolutely nail it to the ceiling with an overclock, but I would like to run it stable, 4Ghz, or anything over is a bonus.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-389-GI

CPU: I5 2500K : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-360-IN

Ram: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-300-CS

Cooling: Corsair H80 : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-008-CS

SSD: Agility 3 120G : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-076-OC

GPU, case etc I still have, please post opinions if you think any changes should be made to this setup? I only went for 8GB of ram, as all I use the pc for is gaming, so no real need to go any higher.

Probably better off in general hardware, tends to be where the spec me posts get answered. Any reason why 2500k over 3570k?

I went for sandy bridge, as I heard the ivy bridge run hotter? What's the difference with the gpu controller on board as well, surely that would just make them run hot too?

I would be going Ivy.

It only runs hotter temps past the 4.5 Ghz zone.

What are the advantages of going Ivy? Will def consider it if it's worth it?

SSD, change it to a Samsung 830 or Intel 320

I thought OCZ Agility were the better of the Sata3 ssd's, will see what tomorrow's deal brings. If I miss out on that, which is better of the two?

Have been reading on ivy vs sandy, apart from pciex 3 i don't see many differences?

Would the corsair h80 be overkill?

Appreciate answers here, as would like to place order in morning, along with the ssd deal :-)
