Hey guys,

Well I have come to the point where im wanting to build another PC in anticipation for GTA V as I know that my trusty AMD 955/HD6870 build will have struggle running it well which is why im gonna keep that as a secondary system as it has never let me down till this. Are the i5 Haswell CPUs worth it? I already have a PSU which will taken from my old system Lepa-B 750w bronze modular and have MSI R9-290 gaming 4GB which will be here next week.

These are the main components I will need for now:
CPU
Case
Fans
RAM
Mobo

The budget will be about £350 and do want to keep the price as low as possible. I am wanting to have a fast/decent performing gaming system.

Cheers

An i5 is totally worth it.

A K CPU combined with a Z97 will be a great setup and you can also overclock it.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-SLI - Devils Canyon Core i5 4690K Bundle **£12 Saving** £272.98
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLRED38G2400HC11CDC01) £44.99

Wow that looks amazing stulid, really liking the CPU bundle and that beast RAM. however im not too keen with the case as I want something with bit more colour but is it really that quiet case? I will be using my 2TB 5400 RPM HDD and Sammy Blu ray drive. I have also thought about having a cheapy Sammy SSD with it too for fast booting what you think?

Thanks again :D

SSDs are excellent as they make every quicker and more snappy.

That Antec case will be quiet but here's two four with some colour,

YOUR BASKET
1 x NZXT Source 340 Midi-Tower Case - Red Window £59.99
1 x Corsair Graphite Series 230T Compact Mid Tower Case (CC-9011036-WW) £59.99
1 x In-Win 703 Midi Tower - Black / Red £54.95
1 x Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 Mid Tower Gaming Case (CC-9011052-WW) £49.99
Total : £224.92 (includes shipping : ).

The NZXT has no external drive bays for your blu-ray tho.

They look nice tbh but im still not liking the near full black lol as I bit sick of the colour, I would prefer something white, red or blue but need to make sure it would fit everything well. Is the stock cooler for the CPU quiet at all or will I need to buy a different one? willing to stretch to £400 too and also are the windows also on the right side of the case?

Thanks again

Im liking the Antec case very much, the Bitfenix one looks great shame that its not compatible. Is the stock cooler for the CPU quiet at all or will I need to buy a different one?

The stock cooler is naff but atleast gets you up and running. Its designed for a stock running CPU, if you overclock it spins up faster and faster and gets irritating.

The Source 340 is absolutely excellent for cable management and had great cooling capabilities

Yeh that looks very solid case, is there any front doors on this case may sound silly but doesn't look so on the pick. I think im gonna choose between the Zalman or NZXT.

You can always use an external dvd drive. It's not like we use it for much anyways nowdays, most things are digital downloads.

Yeh you got a point about that it just for watching film but then its not had much use at all my BD drive lol. im struggling to decide which to go for as both are very tempting case :P.

Well, the bitfenix you've been looking at, is a mATX. That basicly means you'll need a mATX motherboard, rather than a ATX. Like stulid mentioned above..

The antec on the other hand, it's good decent reviews, budget case but doesn't seem to come with any dust filters, that could make your life a living hell....None likes dust buildups.

What kind of cases do you like? Modern, lots of flashing lights, side window?

Yeh I practically like pretty all you said however it will raise the budget so I think I might stick with the Zalman Z3 plus case.
