If your gaming that i7 is only worth it if you have dual gpus otherwise it will be slower in many games than something costing half the price because of a gpu bottleneck.

Save money with a antec 300 and no sound card and get sli.

is the Antec 300 going to be silent?

i am a gamer, but not extreme gamer but then in the future i might get a another one. can someone explain this bottle neck problem Engstrom said

Get the standard P6T, 6GB of 1333mhz memory and the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer/Music/whatever the cheap one is called.

As for engstrom's comment....if you have a look at the reviews of i7 on the web, it isn't actually as good for gaming as you might expect. Although it's only slower by a few frames per second here and there, it has really been designed for enterprise use in servers running multithreaded apps....so Core 2 is still better for a lot of people.

i see i see, because this is my first build i wanna be future Proof. ill be using my system for photoshop as well.

im currently using a dell 9100! old... still got the P4 inside :(

is the Standard P6t as good as overclocking as the Deluxe?

i have an antec 300 and it is pretty quiet especially if you buy some quiet fans for it. Also the nocua cpu fans are silent.

I7 is so good for gaming when put in sli or crossfire. Its not that i7 wasnt designed for gaming but that it is too powerful for todays graphics cards.

Oh so which one should i get P182 or the 300?

I've got the P182 and it's a top quality case. Looks good and is quiet too.

In reply to the previous posts - if you don't upgrade often and you're going to be using apps like photoshop then absolutely go for the i7.

EDIT: You want need a 650W PSU, 500W will be more than adequate.

should i buy cheaper parts?

i dont upgrade often, well i never upgraded before.

Should i look for cheaper parts for my build to the one i have on my first post?

i could save about 300 so pounds if i do.

Edit:
then i again i dont mind buying or spending a little extra for that quality

very Similar to what i have but more expensive thanks tho.

Operating Systems

Should i just buy 3 Gigs of Ram? and wait for windows 7 and get vista 32bit...

I wanna save money yet i dont want crap parts

I think this is the best spec, and it saves you over a £100. The only problem is that you'll have to wait for the Coolermaster PSU to come back in stock.

If you want to save some more money then go for the Antec 300 case, the price difference between that and the P182 is not justified tbh.
