Im building an i7 set up and i am wanting some suggestions.

Current power supply 500w so thinking need new one.

Budget hopefully will be £800

Need CPU, RAM, GFX, MOBO, Case, CPU cooler & Windows 7 64 (not sure which version)

What i really need is some help in getting the most future proof setup, Which mobo and Ram will i most benifit from as PC is mainly a gaming rig.

All your help in this discussion with ideas or experience greatly appreciated.

thanks....not made it clear enough as dont need DVD/r or HDD.

460 really that good?

What is your recommendation on RAM CPU MObo configs...What is the best to aim towards..Triple channel Mobo with Sata 3/6Gb/s

the fact that RJC and I have specced identical CPU, motherboard and just slightly different ram should say loads.

OEM is cheaper, but tied to the build, with retail you can use it in other builds in the future.

i must have been lucky with an OEM then..upgraded all parts twice.

Also all Home,Pro,Ultimate? Most use Home dont they . Im not networking onlyon a home network

Also maforduk thats the case im hoping to get :)
