Hi,
Joined here to find infomation i was on here about 8 years ago asking help about a build i did, which was the intel core 2 quad core q6600 with the asus P5Q-PRO motherboard.in a antec 900 case with artic freezer fan.

im now in the market for another computer something like this i7 4790k cpu and the msi z97x gaming 7 motherboard and 8gb of memory ?

not sure if i would be wasting my time buying the i7 4790k version as im not into over clocking my computers, been looking on competitors to check out full computers, but not sure if thats a good idea, i have £550 to spend on motherboard cpu and memory.

im into gaming battlefield 4 and star trek on line at arc and steam,

i quite like the look of this board and chip http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-015-AS&groupid=2833&catid=2846
and could go with the Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (HX318C10FWK2/16) memory would this sort of system work ok ? my graphics card is the nvidia geforce gtx 660.
would this motherboard need a new bios and if so would overclockers do it for me?

was told to buy a compleate system off competitors but not sure if thats a good idea as the motherboards look really cheap and i would much rather build one my self, hope you nice computer builders can help, been trying to update my pc for the last 6months.

Hi,

I have edited out the competitor names as that breaks the forum FAQs.

Can you lists everything you have at the moment (drives, PSU, makes+models etc).

To help guide you to the final gool, so I can double check everything will fit and work.
