New build in restarting loop

Hi all.

I recently bought a loads of components from OcUK, which included:

Asus GTX 480
Intel i5 2500k
MSI P67-C65
Corsair XMS3 RAM (2x2GB)

I've put the parts together in my Antec 100 case, but when I turn it on, it spins up thr fans and then just restarts, constantly.

I've reseated the RAM and checked for any loose connections, but the problem still occurs.

What do you guys think?

reset the cmos, also try the other ram slots

Sounds to me like the case is shorting the setup, try disconnecting the reset switch from F_panel headers. If it continues to restart then try taking it all out the case and try to boot.

Also try testing with only one module if the above fails, is the 4 or 8 pin for cpu power connected.

Just a quick question:

What cable needs to go into the GPU?
I've currently got a 6 pin cable going into it, but I'm not getting any video output when booting.

Never mind, I needed both 6 and 8 pin connectors in the gpu.

I did indeed. Turns out there was enough power going to the GPU to spin the fan but not enough to display video.
