Hello all.

New member here, I'm looking to build a water cooled pc in the new year. I know that all the current components will be cheaper and that newer models will be out.

I have built many air cooled pc in the past but I'm wanting to move into the water side of cooling.

My question to all is, What components/parts do I need to have a fully working water cooled pc?(excluding pc parts)

Also any help/information that will help me with the build will be very helpful.

Altogether you'll need:

Blocks you're using from the following:
Northbridge
Southbridge
CPU(s)
GPU(s)
RAM

You'll also need:
Radiator(s)
Tubing
Pump
Barbs
Hosing clamps
A Fillport
Coolant
Antifreeze

You might need:
Anti-kink coils
Reservoir

You also need to take into account that everything needs to be made of the same material (aluminium or copper) as cross matching will corrode the insides of the blocks

Things won't necessarily be cheaper in the new year; VAT increases etc. might actually result in the opposite.

Yea, I'm not lookin at the price of the components at the mo, just an idea at what I need to look at/for.

Thanks bigsharn, a nice shopping list! Which material is the best to use? Is there a difference in price that make the difference?

Also, Are the blocks universal to the different sockets?

TY :)
