Hi everyone

This is my first post here although i have been using overclockers since i started as an IT pro nearly 10 years ago now.

Anyway, to cut a long story short i want to build a new system that will enable me to run my day to day business as a Microsoft Active Directory and Hyper-V consultant as well as be able to have a good gaming session when i get time. I've spec'd a project up but seeing as i've been away from the hardware game for some time i'd like to run it past you guys and ask the question as to whether you would add anything or change anything to the build. I'd be using it to test vhd and vmdx machines as well as play some of the newer games being released and FSX.

Here's the build:

Asus P9X79 PRO Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard

Intel Core i7-3820 3.60GHz (Sandybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor

GeIL EVO Leggera 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Quad Channel Kit

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

XFX 1050W Black Edition Pro '80+ Gold' Certified Modular Power Supply

Samsung 250GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Samsung S24B300HL 23.6" Widescreen LED Monitor

BitFenix Ghost Silent Tower Case

There are some other peripherals that i have in mind but are not too relevant so i haven't included them above.

Can you see any potential issues there? Any feedback is hugely appreciated. Looking to place an order either today or tomorrow :)

Cheers for your help guys.

Danny.
