Parts arrived from Overclockers for girlfriends gaming machine

i5 3570k
Asus P8H77-I Mini ITX
MSi HD 7870 Black Knight
GeIL Black dragon 8GB kit
Be Quiet SR1
Corsair TX650
Seagate Barracuda 1TB

So everything built up fine, checked that everythings pulled in etc. Fired it up and nothing to the Screen.

So I thought it must be the GPU. So removed it and Put in my back up HD 5770 again no display at all.

Removed GPU and Plugged the Monitor directly into the Mobo and there is nothing coming out to the display at all.

So am I looking at mobo or CPU issue? Or both?

Like I've said, Monitor just brings up "no signal" from either being in the GPU or mobo connection.

I would have phoned OC support but I turned this on at 5:30pm when they close lol

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Does the system fire up? Do you get any beeps, system fans, Mobo LED's powering on when you boot it up?

Mobo has a Green LED showing it has Power. Cpu fan/chassis fans all spin up including the DVD drive and HDD.

No Beeps
and Zero display from either Mobo to Monitor or GPU to Monitor depending on where it's plugged in.

Side note, I've just tried her 7870 in my own Machine and it works fine. So I've ruled that out.

If you take everything out the case and build it on an anti-static bag, does it work?

Might sound silly, but have you tried using your monitor cable or monitor to rule out dodgy cable or faulty display.

Have the additional CPU power cable plugged in near the CPU socket?

Mobo only has a 4 Pin. Have I goofed and over done it with a 3570k? It wasnt gonna be over clocked either way. This was a stop gap Mobo for her has her old as the hills PC died last week. So couldnt stretch to a z77 for ITX

The board should work fine with that CPU.

So you did plug the 4pin ATX power into the board as well as the main 24pin power cable?

I had a problem with my P8Z77-V Asus board which would not post and it was suggested that I try:

Take graphics card out.
Re-boot without graphics card.
This then gave me LED's and Dr Debug lights on post.
Put Graphics Card back.
This time everything posted fine.

Maybe worth a try.
