I've just put together my new setup but unfortunately I'm not getting any video at all (not even the post screen).

Setup is:

Gigabyte MA770-T-UD3P
Phenom II x3 720
HIS Radeon 1Gb 4870
4Gb OZ Reaper DDR3
1x 500Gb WD Caviar Black
1x 320Gb WD Caviar Blue
500w OCZ Modextreme Modular SLI PSU

I've removed all of drives etc and just tried powering up with the CPU, Mobo, RAM and GPU but no success. The same problem occurs.

Tried the RAM individually in each of the 4 slots and no luck. Replaced the GPU for another PCI-e card and the same results.

Changed the DVI-D-Dub convertor for one that I know works and still no joy.

Obviously all this points the CPU or dead mobo I'm assuming. Can anyone else think of any other troubleshooting ideas that I've not tried? Or has anyone else come across this problem? The speaker on the mobo isn't even beeping on boot, which is worrying.

The only other thing I can think of is the monitor (new one on order that has DVI) but this seems unlikely.

Unformtuantely I have no way of testing either the CPU or mobo so they may have to go back RMA'd.

Any help that anyone can offer is appreciated.

if you remove all the memory does the mobo beep ?, if it does could try removing the processor and booting, mobo should identify it cant find a processor.

does it appear to be powering up ok, disk/fans spinning etc ?

Without RAM there's no beep from the mobo and when fans/HDD etc are connected they all power up okay.

I've not tried it without the CPU to be honest. This is something that I'll try tonight.
