New build issues - Ryzen

Hi Guys,

I've decided to build a new cheap Ryzen setup since the new APUs have been released, Here's the specs:

Ryzen 2200G - CP-3AB-AM
Kingston HyperX 3200MHZ 4GBx2 - MY-26J-KS
ASROCK A320M PRO4 - MB-157-AK
KOLINK 400 Watt PSU - CA-02M-KK

The issue I'm having is that the computer won't POST. I thought this could be an issue with the BIOS version not being up to date with the Ryzen APU's being so new so i managed to get my hands on a Ryzen 1200 to try and update the BIOS. However, the computer is still failing to post. Could this be cause' I need a separate GPU as the old CPU doesn't have onboard graphics?

I've plugged in the motherboard speaker but I'm not getting any beeping coming from it and as far as I'm aware there isn't any LEDs on the board so I'm struggling to diagnose the issue.

I've checked The ASROCK site and it looks as though the RAM is OK for the motherboard

Thanks in advance for the help.

Can you borrow a GPU?

It won't load anything on the screen without a GPU on a 1200 so your out of luck there straight away.

I've got a 1080Ti in my other build but i don't think this PSU has the right amount of spare pins to power that beast. I'll see if i can can get a hold of a smaller less capable card.

It'll be a right pain, I've got an AIO cooler attached to the case :(. Suppose if i can't get a hold of a card I'll have to resort to taking it all out

Just swap PSU. Or sit the Mobo near the other case and try like that. I've done that before. Can be a pain if your cabling is organized though.

just line PCs next to each other, move Ti in and then stretch cables from Ti build into the Ryzen build and unplug current slower PSU in there

I've cabled tidied everything round the back of my case but i haven't tied them all up so i might be able to pull cables round to power up the mobo and Ti. I'll come back with my findings

Very eagle eyed. I've put the 4.50 version on a drive ready to flash it but I'll switch it out of this new one.

I don't know which version is currently flashed on the MOBO, I was at least hoping to get to it :D. I'm aware of the Bridger upgrade that needs to be done first. I recon it'll be on 3.30 2017/11/28 since the other versions are so close together!!

dont forget, these boards leave chine and spend 3 weeks at see to Hit NZ ( think thats EU depo) then more time to reach reseller etc etc and if they get through a lot of stock :)

good luck!
