I recently ordered this from OCUK:

Q6600 Quad
2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500C5
Abit IP35 Pro
Asus GeForce EN8800GT
Tuniq Tower

Arrived yesterday and i'v been trying to get it going ever since.

I'm using a Thermaltake Xaser 3 Supertower with an Xaser 3 Silent Purepower 480W power supply.

Right now I have the motherboard in, processor and Tuniq tower in, RAM and Graphics card in. I'm fairly sure everything is well seated.

When turning it on everything seems to spin up properly, it stays on for about three seconds, beeps twice and then turns off only to turn itself back on and repeat a second later. The post code display thingmy on the board shows 8.2 and then stays on 8.3 (ATX power supply ready). Only way to get it to stop the never ending loop is to turn off my PSU.

Is my power supply dying (never had any issues with it on my old setup), too underpowered or could it be something else?

Have you double checked your wires for the power switch, etc. are connected correctly?

Only have the power switch and speaker connected at the moment and I just checked again to make sure they are in the correct place.

Just noticed, your motherboard has 3 power connections. Have you plugged them all in?

Yes, although my power supply only has a 20 Pin and a 4 Pin when the motherboard wants 24 Pin and 8 Pin. Motherboard manual says "You may connect either a 4-Pin ATX12V or an 8-Pin EPS12V power source. However it is reccomended to connect the 8-pin EPS12V power source to meet the 240VA protection limits"(says the same for the 24/20 Pin).

Edit : I just reset the cmos (again) and it started up with no problems... I hate it when that happens, frustrating not to find out what the problem was.
