Hi everyone,
About a month ago a power spike killed my PSU motherboard, graphics and hard drives. Got a replacements the other day and started to rebuild this afternoon, this is where my issues started. After assembleing all the components and making sure all components have power, the motherboard led is lit, i try to start the computer and it powers on for a second, then shuts off.
My first thought was that i had a short somewhere so i disassembled and couldnt find one anywhere. So then i the built the system outside the case and the same issue occurs. I'm stumped as to what it could be. Is there a possibilty that the power spike killed my CPU and RAM as well? Could it be a ram compatibilty problem?
Specs:
I7 920 DO
X58 SABERTOOTH- NEW
Corsair Dominator GT 6GB 15000C7
5770-NEW
F4 320GB- NEW
XFX 850w- NEW
800D
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
