I have recently upgraded to a core i7 2600k setup and have a few issues.

1. Sometimes when I boot a get 'cpu fan error'. The cpu fan is running but only at 600 rpm (be quiet dark rock cooler). This sometimes goes into the red on the bar in the bios. I have an Asus p8p67 motherboard but don't know how to speed up the fan if that is the issue.

2. I am a bit concerned about my processor temps and voltage. The temps seem quite high at idle and the processor is at stock. Core Temp shows temps from 24-34 degrees whilst just doing basic stuff. When I run prime95 it jumps up to 56 degrees after a few seconds. I have not left it running longer as I worry it will just get worse. The voltages also seem to be jumping all over the place. At times it gets up to 1.32v. I think I might need to reseat the cooler but I found it a nightmare to fit first time round.

Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.

Thanks Liquid

I am reading the voltages from Core Temp. I am a bit more relaxed over the temps as the ones I found in a magazine were 'delta t'. If I read it correctly that is the diffence between the CPU temp reading and the ambient temperature. That's why their figures of 53 degrees, under load with an overclock of 4.5 seemed so low. The core temp reading for them must have been nearer 73 degrees.
