New Build Issues

Just put together a new build and I have 1-2 minor issues which I'm struggling with.

1) Monitor does not always display after boot. After I switch on my PC I get the BIOS screens but then my monitor goes into power saving soon after. Restarting solves the issue?

2) Control of my rear RGB fan colour. Its one of the Corsair LL 120s. I think I plugged it straight into the RGB pins in my mobo. Do I need specific software or does it need to be plugged into a controller first? Strange that I did the same for my Hyper 212 CPU fan and that is controlled through the mobo software fine?

3) PC not providing power to USB while off. Installed the mobo charging software and this doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Also wondering if there's any recommended config guides for the Tomahawk Max mobo? Should i flash to the latest BIOS or is there no point?

Have you got the most up to date BIOS for your motherboard?

I think Corsair has their own software to control RGB lights and whatnot, I don't know what it's called (don't use RGB).

I'm not sure about third one.

1) does it help if you cycle the inputs on the monitor? If it works it'd at least mean you don't have to restart.
3) there's probably a BIOS setting for this, you mean standby right? I had a look at the manual for another MSI motherboard and I'd try fiddling with either: ErP ready = disabled and Wake On USB = enabled. I thought I've had BIOS that specifically labelled it USB standby power, but might be remembering wrong.

Thanks both for your suggestions. I ended up flashing the BIOS just because, it was only 2 versions out of date but it seems to have solved the display after boot issue. Probably to do with the fact it reset the BIOS to default? Either way I'm glad that's ok because that could have been a pain testing components.
It was Wake on USB option that I think did the job for (3), it makes it sound like it would boot the PC but doesn't.

Regards the fan, do I need a Corsair hub to control the colour? I find it strange I can control the cooler fan via the Mystic Light software but not the rear Corsair one.
