Hi guys, so it has been quite a while since i last built my last computer and i am a bit rusty. My main concern is the psu being able to power everything in regards to connectors and actual power so advice on that based on the below would be helpful as well as any other advice.

Gfx: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-180-GW
Cpu: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-336-AM
Mobo: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-576-AS
RAM: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS
HDD: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-366-WD
Psu: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-198-AN
Case: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-025-XG

In addition to the above, i have a monitor, thermal paste and keyboard&mouse in my basket.

Apologies if the links aren't clickable, I'm on my phone.

Regards

are you going for 2 770 or just 1? if 1 why go for the sabertooth? and the 8350? you can get the 8320 cheaper and easily overclock it to 4.0ghz with a custom cooler ,its the same chip as the 8350 and change the ram and change the xmp profile in bios to 2133mhz! and as for psu if you are running just 1 770 then this 650w would be fine modular (bequiet) or non modular (super flower)
for custom cpu cooler deppends on how much you want to spend, air or aio water?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 AMD 990X (Socket AM3+) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £109.99
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £107.99
1 x Be Quiet Power Zone 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £89.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 650W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £73.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
Total : £447.55 (includes shipping : £8.00).

That PSU will be more than adequate.

Thanks!

Thanks for this, i would only be running 1 770 so thanks for your input on that. And i didnt realise these cpu's were so easily overclocked so that is very good advice.

im glad what i built would work, even if it was too much in areas, that was my main worry that i couldnt remember exactly how to pick parts that work together. Ha

Thanks for your quick response, will be ordering soon.

Oh and for the cooler, i would prefer air as i have never had experience with water so i will look into that.

Actually i do have one further quedtion for my own knowledge, if the mobo requires a 24pin power connector, will a psu that comes with a 20+4 pin work?
Same question for 8 pin atx working with 4+4 psu atx, and gfx card requiring 8 pin pcie and psu having 6+2pcie?

I think i have read it is fine as it helps with being able to connect to anythig and everything but just want to make sure.

1 x Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler £29.99
1 x Raijintek EreBoss High Performance CPU Cooler £26.99

Thanks, the money saved from the mobo and cpu alone will cover the cost for that. Excellent stuff. :)

This is also my first build with amd componants, my previous rig was intel and overclocked....a lot. This was back when the 8800 nvidia cards were the business lol

Yes to all.

And one other thing, depending on the monitor you've chosen, you could get a faster GTX 770 with 2GB instead of 4GB for less cost (£40 cheaper).

Thanks!! Thats what im doing now, im checking every option to make sure im getting the most for my money. :) i think im all decided with the current gfx card. I had put down around £1200/£1250 total inc next day delivery which this falls under with enough left over for a game or two.

Okay, for that budget you could surely squeeze in an SSD? Not sure if you already have one perhaps.

yes cgw get a Samsung EVO SSD! size up to you...i would go for 250gb

Not bad, it might have to be an upgrade in the future. The ssd in your sig, how are you finding it?

yes but he would want a custom cooler which are like £380+ !!!

Wow! Thats a lot of money. I think i will stick with the 770, i have read good reviews and looked at benchmark stats for it, will do the job for me.

OCZ Vertex 4 256gb- not very well recommended on here as people say they are not very reliable and dont last very long and the OCZ company has gone bankrupt
i love it as i have never had a problem with it and got it when a site were doing a deal
i would recommend you get a Samsung EVO!

and yes the 770 will be fine mate

Well guys, thankyou very much for your help: overkill- thanks to you in particular.
