Everything seems ok although there is a 1-2 second beep when i turn it on (what does that mean?).

I cant get the display on the monitor. When i connected the 8800GTX to the HX620W i used 2 PCI-E cables, correct? These cables however have (if i can remember without opening the case) a lead that spurs off the main cable which i havent connected to anything...is this correct? If so, any ideas on why im not getting a display?

EDIT: on a completely seperate matter, although spookily similar, my dvi cable has just stopped working from my Dell Dimension 4550 to the 24" DGM, im having to use the "other" cable (the "old fashioned" one), which IS working but the display is (slightly) flickering....any ideas?

......ive only got the old ATI 9700 pro that is on this machine.

Ive just powered up again and now its a single high beep then single low beep. :(

Try with a single RAM stick and do you have a generic DDR2 RAM stick to try with. Your RAM may well require more volts then the standard 1.8v, if it does then it's sort of chicken/egg and you'll need a generic stick so that you can get into the BIOS to increase the volts before using your 2x2gb sticks.

Ive swapped them mem sticks around and now with ONE of them in - i have a display on the screen, albeit a very VERY green one?

EDIT: What should I do now to try and get the other ram stick working?
