New build - Let there be sound! (need advice)

Hi everyone!

About to press the button on a new build for the Mrs and need some advice on the following:

Sound Card - USB or PCI?
Speakers
Headset

Initially I was looking at headsets and noticed the Razer Nari is like 60% off, for both wired and wireless. So, thought it might be a goodish price range for a headset and if I went with a wired headset, would I need a good soundcard to go with it? The last headset I had was a Sennheiser PC 363D with its USB soundcard and was pretty good, but I've not gamed in quite a few years and have no clue anymore .

At the moment she only plays games like Anno 1800 and other build 'em games, but that may change (Especially if I take it for a spin on some FPS games haha). The speakers at the moment are some reeeeaaaally old sweex ones. So, I thought new build, new sound.

Any suggestions are welcome while I'm crawling through all the threads of what people have suggested too!

Ok, turns out the Mrs didnt want a headset after all that (maybe it was me, after seeing all the deals currently on haha). So, ended up getting some Edifier Studio R1600T III as they were pretty much the same price as the next one down.

Speakers now in place and wow, the sound is amazing. Although now the Mrs has decided she wants a headset too (just after the good black friday sales have ended... )

I guess back to my original question, would I be better off getting a sound card + headset combo (would the sound card help with the speakers too) or a USB/Wireless headset?

I'd preferable like to try and keep it under £100 as its been a pretty expensive Christmas so far!
