Hey,

So recently just got an i7 build based of the Asus P6T and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275.. Problem is, just finished building it earlier and connected it all up.. Powers on, all the fans come on, LEDs, etc, powers up - but the monitor stays in standby with the orange LED...

I've tried re-seating it several times, tried the other PCI-E socket, tried another graphics card (my old ATI X1950 Pro), I've tried a different monitor - I've tried a VGA converter adapter, etc..

Neither works.. I'm not sure now if I've missed doing something in the actual PC build when wiring it, or connecting pieces, etc..?

Thanks,
Josh

Some silly questions, have you installed the power cables to the cards (both if they need dual power) and the 8 pin for cpu power as well as the 24 pin ATX, these often get missed :)

Alternate, try a CMOS reset and single memory module.

Yeah sorry I missed saying that. I've installed both 6-pins to the graphics card, re-seated them even as well! Along with plugging in the 8-pin for the CPU power, at first I put a 4-pin in but then realised there was a cap in the other 4-pins for some reason (doh!) so took them out and put an 8-pin in.. The 20+4 pins are both in the motherboard and seated correctly...

I've also tried removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes, I've also tried just 1 memory module stick, and then again with 3..

No dice. :(

I eventually got it working.. Just re-seated it for literally a 6th or 7th time and alternated monitors again, and it worked.. ;/

I was about to say that it could be a resolution setting problem with your monitor failing to display on a certain setting, which happened to me when I was using the DVi-Hdmi cable.
