NEW BUILD NEED HELP

Hello guys,

I've just taken delivery of all the bits I brought from here, it's now all built up but whe i turn the pc on it's starts for a secons then turns off few seconds later its on again then off, just repeats this what could be the problem??

Simplest thing to do is check all connection. Disconnect and reconnect everything to make sure.

Does the PC make any beeping noises? or does it literally get power to it and the automatically switch off?

no it does not beeb just turns off i;ll try with 1 stick of ram

Have you connected the extra 4/8pin into the motherboard?

is the cpu heatsink fan connected tothe FAN_HEADER on the motherboard?

some specs would be useful so i dont have to guess as much

still nothing even with 1 stick of ram, the power supply does not have a 4/8pin to plug in it only has the 24pin

It should have both, 1x4pin and a 1x8pin plug.

my bad it's got 2 of the 4 ones on there but only 1 will plug in the other one is a dif shape

The 4pin one should plug in near the CPU. Do we have boot?

yes finally i got boot, but it says that i dont have a hdd attached ive got the sdd plugged in??

SATA connectors, and the SATA power connectors can be a crap fit, double check it.

Is the HDD seen in the bIOS?

The SDD is seen in bios, I think I have got it working as windows is now installing, one more question if i may??

I'm going to sli the gtx470s card the motherboard come with a ski bridge but no instructions on where to plus it in on the two cards?? any ideas

The GTX470 cards have a liitle connection on one side, it may have a plastic cover protecting this connection.

Ohh i see, does it matter what way the bridge goes around as it seems to fit either way???

should i change the boot priority in the bios so its the sdd first then dvd hdd??

for your first start up and installation of windows.

DVD drive first.

SSD second.

then once its all installed and running, go back into the bios and make the SSD first and disable all other boot devices, this will speed up the boot up time.

and once windows is complete change it to sdd dvd hdd??

stupid questions but how do you get in the bios i thought you press F8 but that just takes me to an option to have save mode?

And, the AHCI mode should have been enabled before you did the install.

TRIM support for the SSD may not be working otherwise I think.

its all up and running ive even clocked it 4.2 i dont fgeel brave enough to go higher but i cant get the ram to go above 1333 i wabt the full 1600 from them, it's all sitting around 35c not to shabby
