Hi all

Starting a new build very soon, Why does there have to be a massive variety of lush Cases out there!!

I'm stuck and want to know what you guys would choose,

I want it to have a large window as I like to show off my build inside and preferably a white case to stand out, Good build quality is a must and also not over £120

Thank you

I've been really impressed with my In Win 303 - though there are some flaws with it (not really suited for SLI/Xfire)

I've just had a look at the inwin303... OMG Beauty!!

any of these anygood.. i have the black bitfenix, the window looks great, but the top and front covers a bit flimsy

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £280.87
(includes shipping: £15.90)

It's a toss up so far guys between the inwin303 and the NZXT source 340

It's a lovely case! There's a few niggling problems with it though:

  • No rubber grommets on the cable management holes (not a game changer but would have been nice to have)
  • The thermals of the case aren't ideal for SLI/Xfire - something picked up on reviews but not something I've had to deal with as I've just got a single card
  • Full ATX boards might cause issues with clearance around the bottom intake fans - mines mATX so I've got no issues, but reviewers mentioned the headers at the bottom of a full ATX board might be tricky to fit with the fans in the way
  • No hole for the board power cable so you have to run it along the top of the board to the connector - minor inconvenience really
  • No cooling for 3.5" drives, they attach to the back of the board between the mobo tray and the side panel

However, it looks so damned good, the tinted side panel looks amazing, and with a few carefully placed LED strips and/or LED fans, it'd look awesome :D

If you need any more info on the case, let me know :)

Nothing major with anything you've stated there bud, I'd only be running one GPU and is consider MATX...

Do you have any pics of your case

Yeah I'll get a few pics when I'm home :) It's pretty boring at the moment, I've not got the fans or lighting in yet :p (can't decide which fans I want, nor what colour lighting would go)

Sorry for not updating this yet minibiker, I'll get on it after work tomorrow.

I had it apart today to fit a new PSU (Corsair RM650x) and it's still a bit all over the place while I wait for fans to arrive.

I'm currently running it with one intake fan in place at the bottom and it's not ideal - definitely some fans to keep the GPU cool are necessary.

Thats ok bud, whenever you get the chance! Yeah i will be getting a fair few fans for my build

Sorry it's taken forever, it took me a while to get some fans and lighting setup, there's not much to see without lighting behind the glass due to it being tinted.

Ignore the messy cables, I still need some better SATA cables, and some of the power connectors need re-routing and tidying up.

Here's how it looks currently :) Still massively impressed/happy with the case!

Great looking build mate, think I will definately go for this case

That is beautiful, the colours go so well together!!

They really do don't they.

I have the 303 sat waiting for a build to go inside it. It's so good looking a case the wife suggested I set it on a shelf with the glass facing out the way as it looks so good. This from a woman who hates all things 'computery'!!
I know looks are subjective but it really is a gorgeous case.
One word of warning, be wary of the psu you get. I have a superflower and technically it should fit but the superflower psu has an embossed logo. Because of the way you have to orientate the psu (the embossed logo ends up as the 'base' of the psu) it puts it slightly offline with the case locating holes. No biggie as a slight widening of the holes sorts it but just worth mentioning if you have a similar psu.

Can you still buy the Corsair Carbide Air 540 (or Air 240 for MATX) new?

I love my 540. Build quality isn't quite up there with my Lian-Li V1000+ but still a great case with plenty of cooling potential.
