New Build - No Beep, No Display

Hey all
I've been looking around the forum and the web and can't find an answer to my problem.

I just built a new computer today (using some parts from my old) with the following components

Antec Nine Hundred Case
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3/S3 Motherboard (Socket AM2)
AMD Phenom X4 processor
OCZ 4gb (2x2GB) DDR2 RAM
Corsair TX650W PSU
Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT OC Graphics Card

Whenever I push the power button, I get full power but no beeps (I took out my old PC speaker and stuck it in the Antec, it has no case speaker by default) and no display. Every fan runs fine.

I'm kinda stuck as to what to do. I've done:

1. Reset the CMOS
2. Reset the battery
3. Reseated the CPU
4. Removed everything except CPU, PSU and Mobo (it should beep even without ram right?)

I think i've installed everything right, although I have a problem understanding Standoffs

On my case there are a lot of little brass holes for me to screw things in. Then with my case I received 3 Long headed screws which fit into those holes. I put those screws in 3 random holes and then screwed them in from the top to fix the motherboard in place. I then used normal screws to stick the remaining holes in (bar 2, one is too far from the board to reach, the other doesn't have a screw below it). I think it's right at the moment, it's fastened on all sides to these brass things although I didn't see the point of the long extender type screws because surely the board will be wonky now.

What can I do? Is my brand new Mobo faulty?

Thanks

Have you installed the 4 pin power supply top left of the processor, this often get missed!

CPU

Which x4 CPU did you go for some are fairly new the BIOS may need flashing to use it.

Do you have an old AM2 dual core to try in the mobi

The end of your post - the bit about motherboard standoffs makes no sense to me - did you use screws instead of standoff's?

Try booting with 1 stick of RAM and just the bare essentials.

I got 3 of these with my case (Is it even enough?!):

(Like the 4th one in the line from the left)

Which I screwed into these little brass holes in my case (loads of them all over the place). I then placed the motherboard on top, aligning the 3 standoff things with 3 metalized holes (in the bottom left, bottom right and top left of the board).

I then screwed these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:M3_screw_and_6-32_UTS_screw_with_ruler_thread_pitch.png, into the wholes, linking them to the standoffs. Then I put some of them in the non-standoff holes and connected them to the brass holes mentioned previously.

It's bloody confusing and to be honest I've got a feeling Antec have screwed me over and not supplied enough standoffs.

Oh and I did try one stick of RAM, although not different slots. I'll try that now

Found out the problem after ringing OcUK support

My motherboard doesn't support AMD Phenom X4 9850 yet. So I guess I need a new motherboard. I'll take that question to the appropriate forum. Thanks for the help though
