Hi, i received the whole of my new build today;

Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail
Corsair Dominator 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8D)
Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular 1000W Power Supply
Lian Li PC-A70FB Full Tower Case - Black
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-00765)
Intel X25-V Value 40GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (SSDSA2MP040G2R5)
Samsung SH-B083LRSBP 8x BluRay ROM 16x DVD±RW Drive - Black (Retail)
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler (Socket LGA77511561366AM2AM3)
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5970 OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I have eventually finished my build, and booted her up. Only to find the monitor doesn't get a signal from my 5970. I have searched around the web and tried restarting and unplugging the monitor and made sure the card is fitted properly.

Any ideas?

Thanx

wow thats 1 hell of a system, cant help you on the issues you have, but when your up and running be really intrested in how it performs, im starting the hunt for parts to a new build and it looks pretty close to what you have there....
Hope you get sorted mate, bet your chomping on the bit to get this baby fired up :)

Any activity from the fans, lights?

You have the 8pin atx plugged in?
And both pci connectors for the 5970?

Yes, all fans and lights work. The graphics card fan spins.

Maybe i haven't connected the power cables to the Card correctly?

I have used one 6pin(in the PSU) to the 8pin(6+2pin head)

and another 6pin(in the PSU) to the 6pin slot on the card.

The two power cables for the card should have PCI-E written on them.

Maybe tryi connecting the two pci-e cables that came with the card. They should plug into a molex connector.

Thank you this worked. :)

Don't know why i thought the PSU cables would be better suited than the cables/adpaters they give you with the card.

That's really strange, they provide the adaptors for people with psu's that don't have sufficient connectors.

Your psu should plug straight in and work.

The cables seem to fit and go together so well, but just didn't work. Was odd, i will look into it and see if others had similar problems. I've always trusted Coolermaster, yet this time, they have annoyed me.
