New build - No power?

Hi,

I've just built a new system, after spending a long time setting it up I've discovered it won't boot up at all. I don't get a motherboard light or anything. I've just unplugged the motherboard ATX power lead from the board and plugged in a case fan to test the PSU. Nothing happens.

If I plug in a fan, plug the PSU into the mains and nothing happens, does this mean the PSU is dead?

Is there any sign of life at all? I had similar problems a while back and I had recieved a dead PSU from a company. Do you have another you could use for testing?

Hi,

Just checked the power lead and the spare I had... the fuse had gone. So I have replaced the fuse and I can now get power to motherboard. fans etc. Just gotta hookup to a monitor and install OS
