I have recently built a new PC -

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz(1066FSB)
Ram - G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ)
Graphics - HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870 XT ICEQ3 TURBO 512MB GDDR4 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express)
Power Supply - Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
OS - Vista Ultimate

The installation went well, however after about 10mins of being on the pc i get a "no input signal" on my monitor, everything is still running Graphics card is still on etc, at first i though the graphics card was faulty, so i tried my BFG 8800gts oc2 card and that seemed to worked fine, so i took my graphics card back to overclockers they did there tests and gave me a new graphics card, in the mean time while the card was being tested my BFG card suddenly started with the same problem, so now im thinking it cant be the graphics. Maybe its the PCI port failing on the mobo, so i take it back to overclockers and expalin to them whats happening and they say there will do tests, a week later i get my mobo back with NO FAULTS FOUND. I built the system back up with my new graphics card replacement now it lasts for around 30mins before no signal input

The system isnt under any load when i get to no signal input

so my question is does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the problem and anyway of testing the system to eliminate the problem, im going to try memtest that some guy recommended to me to try.
i have tried using just 2gig of ram at a time and in the different ports on the mobo but still get the same problem so i dont think its the ram, but i could be wrong

also i was under the impression that the PSU was more than enough for my system but could it be that?

Thanks in advance,
Kev

I'm running near enough the same system as you, except only dual core, and 2gb RAM,

I have the OCZ 500W PSU, so unless yours is actually faulty, it's more than enough for the job.

i have just moved my pc downstairs so i can use my other pc, i have connected it to a 19" monitor and it seems to be working ok, the monitor that i have been connecting it to is a belina 22" widescreen.

the monitor itself works fine, but is there an issue or known issue with HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870 XT ICEQ3 TURBO 512MB and belina monitors

*EDIT*
Nevermind its failed again now

i have completed my memtest scan and my ram is ok, does anyone have any ideas what could be giving my a no signal error on the monitor

my graphics are ok
motherboard is ok
ram according to memtest is ok
cooling is all ok - so there is no over heating

power supply should be ok - going to test that next

any other ideas would be great

EDIT
I have tried my replaced my power supply with a Enermax Noisetaker 600w and i still get the same problem so it dont think its my power supply

It's almost certainly your monitor if plugging a different monitor in makes it work fine. Could be a lose connection or something.

if u read my edit it started to fail on that monitor aswell, i tried it on 3 different monitors to rule out the monitor, i used different power leads and different leads to connect the pc to the monitor and they all fail, trust me its not the monitor

i have now started to get it to work ok with using xp pro instead of vista but all my stuff should work with vista its all compatible so i dont no whats wrong
