Hi all,

I have built the following budget rig:

Corsair Force LS Series 60GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CSSD-F60GBLS)
Foxconn H67M Intel H67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLT2CP2G3D1608DT2TXOBCEU)
Cooler Master Elite 344 Micro ATX Case - Black/Silver
OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 Plus' Power Supply
OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Xilence XPF92.R.PWM Red Wing Fan PWM - 92mm

with an intel Core i3 3240

Its all wired up, when I press the on button everything appears to fire up ok, all fans on, ram lights up, ethernet port starts flashing etc. However, I get no image on my monitor.

Anybody got any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Try reseting the BIOS or pulling the battery out with the power switched off, then refit and try again.

Are you using the motherboards display connectors and you do not have a GFX card?

How are you connecting the monitor?

Tried multiple time resetting CMOS, will try removing battery to be sure

No gfx card.

Tried connecting with vga and dvi cables

Use just the minimal bits need to boot up and display a BIOS.

One stick of RAM then try the other, don't need a SSD/HDD to display a BIOS. anything aprt from keyboard and mouse plugged in? remove it.

Check the socket for damaged pins.

Do you have to select a different input via the controls on the monitor? some Dells do this.

removed the battery for 10, still no joy. Tried one stick of ram in every socket and then the other stick.

Build it outside of the case on some cardboard/box.

Do you have a small gfx card to test with?

Then im out of ideas.

only the one in my sig!

Bah, after i've made all the cables nice and tidy!

Ok, i'll try that! Desperate times and all that!

yeah that was my thought!

Just built on cardboard, still nothing :(

may have to give ocuk a ring tomorrow

Could it be early BIOS not supporting ivybridge CPU? And to flash/update it you'd first need a sandybridge CPU,flash BIOS,install I3 3240

It`s the Foxconn mobo, it does`nt come with the IB bios update.
If you don`t have an SB Cpu or know anyone who does, then arrange with OCUK to send it back and have them update the bios for you.
