I have just built a system for my borther using Corsair CMX 1024 - 400 PT Matched memory, and found out that when we have both running in Dual chanel it is having spruaditic memory problems, either 3d mark chrashes or I get illlegal instructions, BSODS.
I have tested the ram in my machine and it does the same, same motherboard as well (A8n32-sli) Remove 1 stick, rans fine, other one, - fine - both. Same thing machine becomes unstable.
As per the Corsair web site I have tried increasing the DDR core to 2.75 volts as per thier own site, this makes no difference. I am going to now try invidually testing with memtest 386.
Hopefully it should reveal the faulty culprit. If it does not and they memtest ok in single chanel can I still return these. As my value select works 100% in both machines.
I just hope I can prove to o/c that its faulty and they can exchange on the spot as its a long drive and dont want to be given any run-around with them saying they have to test it.
