hola, just bought a new barebones system...using my old GPU. on load when the fans spin up the graphics goes VERY loud, its defiantly that fan buzzing, it seems to be vibrating on the heatsink on the motherboard, either a heavy book or pushing down on top of the cases either reduces it or stops it....for a small time atleast.

on the picture you can see the MB heatsink both the words gigabyte and the top of the heatsink both sit proud as part of the design. i havent moved it yet, but they look like the same height off the board so PCI-e 1,2 will give the same result as far as i can see, and the bottom PCI wont fit my card.

i've tried to jam a piece of card between that and the heatsink on the MB with no avil, im going to try a thicker piece!

but yes doesnt seem a good start, i am just tempted to sell and buy new GPU, i dont really have the money (i didnt have the money for what i've just bought...but ow well)

googled it also cant see any other people reporting this so far.

ow PS. in true fashion, about 6 months ago i snapped a blade of the GPU, but even underload in old system it was just the fan spinning high under old system, this is unusable underload.

I didn't notice any vibration on the end of my GTX 560Ti but it was damn close. my card doesn't touch it as I've got an aftermarket cooler on it now. before there was a metal plate at the bottom which created contact.

coool ty archerz, ye its just a little silly to have such a wide cooler at that point on the board.

mmmm dunno, well this is fun.

i have been looking at aftermarket coolers, but cheaper to sell this and buy new. think only way i;d keep this is watercool and overclock it...but thats just messy
