What you think?

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
8GB Vengeance (Free)
Some SSD I forget the name of (also free).
Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor OR Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM
EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Superclocked ACX Video Card
EVGA SuperNOVA 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Probably get some

Roughly £700

Not really wanting anything too fancy, don't care much for overclocking... really just looking for a trouble free assembly and operation and games that run at a reasonable frame rate (i.e. nothing below 40).

Any help, much appreciated. Was going to upgrade my old desktop but probably not worth it.

Thanks for the info, so I can knock off a good £100 on that bad boy.

Do you think there is any point in getting a super clocked graphics card? I've seen others for as much as £80 less. Again... if it means losing 3 FPS here or there I'm not bothered (unless the performance gain is massive).

Yeah the i5 is fine. If you're not going to over clock you drop the K and go for the 4690.

Id suggest an after market CPU cooler too, this keep heat and noise low. The themis cooler is great and only £20 on OCUK.

Yeah a super clocked card isn't worth the extra if youre not bothered every FPS. Id actually suggest going for a cheaper 280 or 280x.

The headset is a nice touch but what is it about the board itself that would be beneficial? Again, I'm not too bothered about its ability to overclock but a bit of future proofing would be good.

Get a K chip and a Z board if there is a possibility of selling it on further down the line. Even if you dont overclock, it doesnt cost much more and it keeps value better and is much easier to sell on.

Food for thought.

Because I'm more of a casual enthusiast I don't think I'll ever get round to selling the parts on. I mean... my current desktop has been kicking around with the same motherboard since 2007 and it is only in the last couple of years that the system isn't capable of giving me a decent frame rate for games like Assassins Creed BF and Planetside 2.
