New Build or just a GPU ? (amd v intel)

Atm i have a Amd 1090t (hex) at 3.8 and a 5870 oc edition . Her indoors said i can have abit of an upgrade so now in a quandry as to what to do .

Do i get a 7950/70 and stick with the AMD (will it bottleneck the due to the cpu? )
Or upgrade to i5 and 7950/70 .

Would prefer to do as cheap as possible but will swap everything if needed .

Already have case/psu/ssd/dvdrw which im happy with .

Main games are Bf3 but i tend to play most of the new stuff that comes out .

Screen ress is 2048x1152 on 23" Samsung

Your CPU should be fine at stock, it will definitely be ok OC'd

the X6 is a great processor, one of AMD's greatest and will out perform the 4/6 core bulldozers nicely
