New Build or upgrade?

Hi,

So my current PC is getting on for 3 years old now and it's starting to show in the newer games (Laggy game play, FPS dropping ETC) . But I can't decide whether to upgrade or start a brand new build


My current build is....

Case - Cosmos s
Processor - Intel Duo core E8500
Motherboard - Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R
Graphics Card - XFX Geforce 9800 GX2 Black edition
Ram - 2x 2GB ocz2g8002g
PSU - Coolermaster 1000w

I also have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (CPU cooler) with push pull Akasa AK-FN057 Apache 120mm fans.


So are they any upgrades I could do to give this build a couple more years of life? Or is it not worth it and I should just start a new build?

You could upgrade to a quad core and upgrade your gfx card to a 480.
That should give it atleast2-3 yrs
If u have 64 bit OS theb maybe adding some more RAM would help aswell.
