new build os question

Hi all,
just a quick question, just bought components for a new build.
FX 4100 Black edition
ASUS M5A99X EVO motherboard
4Gb of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 memory
XFX ATI 6870 OC

Only thing is that i forgot to get the OS

Is there anyway i can install the new components with the original hardrive and OS?

Download the Win8 consumer preview.

Using a harddrive with an OS on thats already been in a different computer causes many problems with drivers etc not to mention activation.

Your best bet is to do as stulid says and download Windows 8 consumer preview which is free to use for a while and then either upgrade to the full version of Windows 8 when it comes out or geta copy of Windows 7.

Thanks for the replies guys, didn't even know win 8 was out, what's everyone opinions?
For reference, current os is win 7 64bit.

Win8 is designed for tablets in my opinion. Wouldn't let it near my PC, but it will do you ok until you can get a copy of Win7 sorted.

Windows 8 = Windows 7 with additional security features and a daft interface you can arguably tweak to suit yourself. It's certainly not worse then Windows 7, the argument is really whether it's better.
