Just got my new build set up:
Q6600, Abit IP35 Pro, 4 gig GeIL 6400c4 800mhz Low latency ram. Oh and behemoth that is the Tuniq 120 house brick
I've never had a pentium chip and I am completely green with the new bios details. Guys/gals could you talk me through a small o'clock for starters.
I am running Vista x64, Uguru is installed and other than my ram voltage all other settings for the cpu,fsb etc are at default. Oh and I am on bios 11.
EDIT:
OK I've upped the fsb to 296 and left the multi @ 9, giving me 2.66Ghz. I've left the Vcore @ 1.22v (according to cpu-z my fsb:dram ratio is 2:3). Should I set this to 1:1 ? Wouldn't 2:3 make my ram overclocked already. Any advice on the divider settings for this board would be great. I have Core temp installed and my temps whilst running prime 95 average 52c across 4 cores. How long do I need to run prime for to say it's stable?
Thanks

. its a great mobo/cpu combo, imo. I think you should aim for 3.0GHz, which you should get easily, maybe even on Auto volts. If you have to come off auto, record what Auto is giving your cpu, start from there plus one bump. I use Everest Ultimate for monitoring, but there are other choices.
I had a game getting Vista installed on the Sata drive as it was. Is raid something I can set up now, or is that only when you are initially setting up the drives before you install the OS. But they are nifty compard to my old ide drives.
