Hi
Just looking to build a pc for a family member but I keep getting my gaming build head on and the price just keeps going up and up.
The pc will be used for general everyday use plus the occasional game play for the grandchildren.
The trouble I’m having is keeping the cost down to £500. I’m looking to future proof the build, is this necessary anymore?
I have an old 8800gtx and a DVD burner that I can put in to keep costs lower.
Please advise on the following as I'm pulling my hair out trying to decide what’s the best option.

AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz @ 3.60GHz Black Edition £77.99
Corsair Dominator 4GB DDR3 XMS3 PC3-1600C9 (2x2GB) Dual Channel £99.99
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P AMD 770 £76.99
Corsair VX 450W ATX Power Supply £55.99
Coolermaster Elite 335 Case £34.99
Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache £34.99
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM CPU Cooler £19.99
Viewsonic VX2260wm 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor £134.99

Total £551.17 inc delivery

I just need to reduce the cost buy £50 so would appreciate any recommended or complete specifications changes that you may feel appropriate.

Kind regards

cheaper RAM, saves £20
ditch the aftermarket cooler as I presume they wont be clocking, just use the retail, its perfectly adequate, theres another £20
Could pick up a mobo for a tenner less too

Yeah, you can always get a cheaper PSU, motherboard and/or RAM if you're looking for a budget PC that won't be overclocked. Just don't go too low - Ast3r's suggestions are good examples.
