Hey all,

Just built my new pc using a bundle off OCUK, everything is seated correctly, however when i boot the pc up all the components are working fine i just can't get it to post... I wondered if it's something to do with the 8 pin motherboard connection on my mobo? I've plugged the 24 pin one in but using the system build guide on this forum it said there might not be one? Any other suggestions are appreciated as i'm willing to try anything!

P.S. I've tried removing the RAM and listening for Beeps but i dont get any! =/

EDIT: There's a solid orange light on my motherboard... Could it be that the motherboard isn't seated on the screws properly?

There's always another power point other than the 24-pin - usually above the processor area. Take a look there? I'm sure they're not always 8, I think mine's 4...

Top left of motherboard is a 4/8 pin connector. If that isn't in then the system wont boot. If that fails unplug all the cables and reseat them... usually works for me.

Mine is 8 and i have two 4 pin connectors to plug into it... I managed to find it however, still i can't get it to post... The motherboard has 4 orange lights next to the RAM 2 of them are green and 2 of them are orange i have no clue why it wont post o.0

Most new boards come with the 4 or 8 pin for cpu power, if this is not connected you wont get the board to boot.

Is this a overclocked bundle.

So much for my guaranteed safe overclock... Managed to get it to the bios screen... Somehow it didnt even post? But it is telling me it was failing because of voltage changes and overclockng...

Cheers ocuk -.-

Hey, maybe the reason that the BIOS is reporting that is due the fact that you didnt connect the 8 pin Power lead for the CPU, and starting up without that connected might cause the BIOS to report voltage changes as it did not get a full 12v.

happen to me on an i7 bundle. your going to have to get a profile from them or do it your self. theyll be one saved on the bios but mine failed when i would load it. might be the same for you as well or not. find the oc profile in the bios

Cheers for all the help guys, I cant understand why i can boot the PC up without hearing the POST beep? This build has really got me confused =)

Hey, maybe your case have not got a case speaker, in which case then you will hear no beeps. A lot of cases dont have speakers esp the Antecs. You did not have a 4 pin wire which connected to the speaker header on the motherboard did you???
