New Build - PC Won't start

do you have an led error code clock on that board? if so whats the error code its showing? it will list what they are in the back of your mb manual
 
Doesn't seem so, I can't see one anyway.

My motherboard manual just has an FAQ page pointing towards the Gigabyte website and a basic flow chart.
 
The above problem with my HD7970 cards is indeed my blank screen problem.

Obtained an old geforce card from a friend and it boots fine into windows setup.

Thanks for all the help, would have been incredibly frustrated if I couldn't work it out haha. :)

Also props to Ocuk for giving me a free mug and artic silver 5 thermal paste when I was in yesterday! :D

Nice to see you got a result. Have you managed to get the 7970s working?
 
Success! Both cards boot, it takes a while to hear the "Beep" which starts the post but it posts eventually.

Time to install some drivers and see whats what eh!
 
Umm little niggle, my 1tb hard drive isnt showing up in "My Computer".

Its displaying in the bios and in system properties. :confused:

Running Windows 8 if it helps.
