£1,458.86 total.

I will be gaming at 1920x 1080.

Thanks.

For a little more you can get something better. The 920 will overclock easy to 4.0Ghz with the H50 and it will be plenty for any game you want to play. The 2xHD5850s will guarantee a smooth gamplay at that res even with AA turned on.And for a budget like this the Corsair Obsidian 800D is the case to get.

Save some money on the Mobo and CPU (get a ASUS P6T or Gigabyte UD5/3 & i7 920) and use the money to buy an SSD as a boot drive.

Get one DirectX 11 capable card - You should only really need 1 5850 or 5870 if you are gaming on a single screen @ 1920*1080.

Make sure you factor in the VAT increase if you are planning to order after 1st Jan 2010. (+2.5%).

Thanks for that chaps,

To be honest i'm in no hurry to buy at the moment having sold my Gaming laptop to build a desktop so i'm currently saving up as much as I can, I have a maximum of £2k by march to spend.

I know it sounds a lot of money but it's been a really bad year for me and my family and would like to treat myself to something a bit special.

Regarding the case I have set my heart on the HAF 922 as it's not too big so hope it will fit all the latest gfx cards in? (Anybody)

When do you think the HD 5970's will be back in stock?

Many thanks.
