Hi all,

1st post, please be kind :)
I am just about to buy these components to make a new pc for myself. It will be used mainly for gaming and photography as well as for uni work starting in September.
Does this look like a decent enough spec pc, any other suggestions?
If not, I will probably be ordering the bits tonight :D
Needs to last me for a few years now. I only went for a cheapish GPU for now as I only have a 1680x1050 monitor, im assuming the 260 will run all present games?

Thanks!!
Chris

Good choices mate, I think that's the best researched/luckiest build suggestion I've seen on here. Do you need an operating system? Vista 64 or linux, if going with XP then drop to 3gb of ram :)

Was a lot of research in the end!
Going to get Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz).
As the 1333MHz is out of stock and I have been looking into this pc for too long now to wait any longer :D
Thanks for help folks, its nice to get some confidence that the build should be a goodun, I havn't made my own pc for a few years now. Should be fun.
As for as the OS. Im gonna be running win 7 RC. Been using the beta for a month or so and have been really impressed.
