Hello folks, I'm about to build my first pc in about 14 years, was hoping to share my plan and get any advice/suggestions please!
My hardware is as follows:
Ryzen 9800 x3d
GIGABYTE AORUS ELITE WiFi 7
Sapphire nitro+ 9070xt gpu
1000w gigabyte AORUS psu
Acer Predator vesta 2 6000mhz ram
Lian li GA 2 lite 360 aio
Samsung 990 evo plus nvme
- First assembly/startup: install Cpu, aio, ram (in slots 2&4?) & power supply. Dp cable to screen (the 9800x3d has onboard graphics so I should get something on screen?
- Power on and check the bios version of the motherboard and make sure it's compatible with the Cpu. This is where my first main question comes - if it is on a version which is compatible with the Cpu, should I just leave it? Or is it advisable to upgrade the bios regardless?
- If upgrading the bios, I should be able to stick it on a flash drive and update through the bios itself?
- after whichever bios route is completed, enallble expo in the bios for the ram
- turn off, then install Gpu?
- have a quick check in the bios thst everything is being seen.
- install windows
Does that sound like a solid plan? Am I forgetting anything? Any advice will be much appreciated!
Cheers
Adam
