new build problem

hi

ive been having a few teething problems with my new build

i installed vista on one stick of ram as it wouldnt boot with 2 sticks

once vista 32bit was installed i put my 4x1gb geil ull 800mhz ram and all seemed fine for the first hour or so but then i started getting blue screens

and now today it wouldnt boot at all it would hang at the boot screen and wouldnt even let me into the bios

so i took the ram out leaving 1 stick in and it booted fine

the ram is set @1.8 volts in the bios but on the sticker on the ram it states 2.1 volts

the motherboard is a abit ip35

is it ok to set the ram to 2.1volts with this board as i think this is whats causing my blue screens

You'll need 2.1V at least for that Geil and especially with 4 sticks. It takes 2.3V max so 2.1V is nothing.
