Hi, today I got my new PC...

I'm having a bit of trouble and would appreciate some help.

I've put everything together correctly as far as I know, I've built quite a few before so I know what I'm generally doing however this is my first system using SATA instead of IDE.

Basically It wont boot whatsoever, at first I thought it was just the incorrect position of the Power SW but after checking I found it's connected correctly. So I'm kind of stumped, from what I can see the Motherboard is not shorting anywhere. One problem could be my CPU - C2D E8200 and my Gigabyte P35-DS3. Could an old revision of the BIOS cause it to not boot?

Thanks.

EDIT: Checked the revision and it's 2.1 so forget my last statement about the old revision.

Probably a short circuit, can you build it outside the case? Then just hookup the PSU, motherboard, CPU, RAM, video card and try and get it to post.

Sorted it in the end, it wasn't a short but for some reason it wouldn't start with the PSU fan speed connected plugged in. Took it out and it's fine - think that will be much of a problem? The PSU fan still runs without the connector.

OCZ StealthXStream 600W

Any idea if this is much of a problem or anyone else experienced anything like this?
