Ok

I got the Asus P5Q Pro Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard.

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200 "LGA775 Core 2" 2.20GHz (800FSB) - Retail

Gigabyte SUPERB 460w PSU

I fitted all the components and connected all the cables, but when i pressed the on button there was nothing.

I checked all the cables and they seem fine, I tried the Psu on another computer and it powered it, I tried a working Psu on the new build and still nothing.

Any Ideas?

Power button connected / working ok, do a CMOS reset see if that helps.
All power cables installed including the 4 or 8 pin for cpu power and GPU.

Id try shorting out the jumpers that connect the power button.
Also like RJC said, check all the power connections. Make sure the board isnt touching the case and shorting out.

Could be a faulty mobo
