New build problem

I bought the krypton Z77 660i overclocked bundle, a new PSU and new case. I fitted it altogether plus old bits like hard drive and graphics card and it computer doesn't work.

It switches on but doesn't boot then switches off and does this continuously until switch power off at the PSU. I think it's to do with the ATX 12v power connector cos not sure if put it in right, the connector is bigger than the socket on the motherboard.

Please help

What PSU did you buy?
Is the 12v 4 or 8 pin?
Have you disconnected it & re-connected it?

It has a 4pin sokcet in the pic. The 8pin 12v cable should split in two. use either.

The PSU is Corsair builder series 600w.

The connector is 8 pin I think but socket on motherboard only takes 4. haven't tried reconnecting it yet.

Sorted it. Had put the backplate for the CPU cooler on wrong way.
