Hi just finished building my new pc yesterday and installed windows 8, after an hour i realized how awful it was and decided i would install windows 7 instead. But windows as always is a heartless ***** and will not install, it tells me that i am missing drivers, i have never seen this before anyone have any ideas?

heres the specs

AMD piledriver 8350 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-336-AM
gigabyte 970A-D3 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-409-GI
8gb kingston hyper-x ram https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS
msi AMD radeon HD 7850 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-154-MS

All the drivers worked in windows 8 i didnt have to install any but its wierd that windows 7 is missing them

btw when i say it says its missing drivers i mean that after i select my language and select install windows it then say setup is starting and then opens a window and says drivers are missing

I take it this is a genuine version of windows so not an issue of a dodgy image, in that case did you format the drive before starting? it may be that the disk is seeing a newer version of windows doesn't have newer drivers than those already installed so doesn't want to continue.

Just a shot in the dark, have never come across this myself.

it is but i had to go and get sp1 version of windows, tht fixed it the retail disk isnt sp1

Good to see its solved, never had anything like that myself but computers never fail to create new and annoying issues. (technically its the programmers but its easier to blame the machine)
