New build problems - no output from graphics card?

Hi all

I went to OcUK and picked up the following:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
Geil 2gb PC2-6400C (this week only stuff)
500gb Seagate SATA HDD
LG GSA-H66NBAL DVD-RW
Antec P182
Enermax 500W Modular PSU

I put it all together and put in my HIS 3850 512mb graphics card that I was using this morning in my old PC (A64 3000+ system) and I get no picture from the 3850. The computer turns on and the fans all spin (including the GPU fan) but my monitor says "no signal".

I tried an old 6600GT and got the same thing. I know the GPUs and the monitor works as I was using it this morning!

Any suggestions as to what to do to remedy this?

Cheers :)

Only thing I can suggest is resetting the BIOS and ensuring all power connectors are
installed, ie the 4 or 8 pin for the CPU.

Hmm, problem here - my 4 pin from the PSU to the CPU doesn't quite reach all the way to the motherboard bit, which is right on the top of the motherboard above the CPU. (my PSU is in the bottom of my case)

Am I going to have to trek back to OcUK for an adapter/extender tomorrow? Although strangely enough when I stretched it and hold it back so the CPU fan could spin, the fan didn't start spinning. So I still don't know if there will be a display or not, but it seems likely that's the problem as I did forget the 4 pin connector for the CPU.
