New build problems

Hey all

hope you can help me out here im having a few problems with my new build !!

right ive just bought the following:

AMD athlon 64 4000
Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 (Socket 939 & Upgradable to AM2) AGP & PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-002-AK
2 x 512mb corsair xms3200
2 x 37 gig sata1 WD raptors

The problem i am having is my CPU usage is when i open anything, or stretch a windows box my cpu usage goes upto 100 %. I have installed all the drivers etc, any ideas?

An update. I just read http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17597331 seems i also have a clawhammer, thought i was buging a san diego, should i send it back or keep it ??? which is the better of the two?

If you look at that page selling the 4000's you'll see they've taken away the "san diego" description. I wouldn't pay more than 50 quid for a 2 year old clawhammer. The 3700 sandy is a good deal, the 4000 clawhammer is certainly not.

At the time of buying it said san diego, my reciept also says san diego.

Send it back - the clawhammers dont come close to the san diegos. Get a 3700 and save some money - they nearly always out clock the 4000's

Yeah i noticed they had taken away the San Diego part, rather lame and as said they certainly not worth the money.
