new build problems?

Hey guys

Just come to start my new build and as soon as I flick the switch on the PSU the main fans all start up???

Any ideas why this is? I press the power button on the front and get nothing so I'm not to sure whats going on lol.

So your press the power button to start the computer up and just the Fans come on, is that right?

Make sure you have connected the 4pin connector that comes out of the PSU to the motherboard?

Hey mate

No basically I turn the main power button on the PSU on and then all the fans kick in?

I then say go to open the CD draw to see if that will work and it does it pops out say half way then everything powers off again?!

well incase anyone else has a similar problem I had somehow missed the fact that one of the spacers on the case wasnt actually in the right place and must have been allowing the board to earth incorrectly.

So I took it all apart, rebuilt it and now its fine, now time to install windows
