New build problems! Help!

When i switch on the power, all the fans spin, apart from the CPU fan (Although i did see a glimpse of it spinning for half a second once) I'm getting no signal to my monitor, just a blank screen.

520W Corsair
C2D 6320
Gigabyte P35 DS3P
8800GTS
2gb Geil PC6400 Black Dragon

Any help would be much appreciated!

also make sure you have untangled the wire if using the stock
duo cooler the wire needs to come off the side of the heatsink
easy for it to get tangled up in the fan blades in fact i think it's packed that way
with the black wire blocking a fan blade.

Got the 4 Pin 12V connector in, and made sure the wires are untangled, still nothing :(

When i turn it off now, the fan spins, just like when it would power down.

Oh, no beeps either.

Sounds like a short, did you use standoffs in the right places when you screwed the mobo to the case? Try building the system outside of the case on a non conductive surface.

Well i remember thinking to make sure i did that, so i guess i did.

Anyway, i've made a little progress - I now have the mobo out on a anti static bag, with the CPU, RAM, GFX in, and the power switch. I also put the CPU fan into a 3 pin system fan connector, and thats working fine now. However i still have no signal.

Thanks for the help so far

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but its what I'm good at! :p

Have you got a speaker connected to give you a beep if there is a problem?

Have you got the power cables that plug directly into the graphics card connected?

PK!

Well when I put it together outside the case, I forgot to put the power into the pci-e card, which resulted in a long continous beep from the motherboard, leaving me to presume that it has an onboard speaker. Think I'll try plugging in the case speaker again, just the cable is a little short.

Edit: Still same with case speaker in.
