Hi,

Looking for some advice please.

I built up this machine yesterday:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Eight Core 4.4GHz (Socket AM4) Processor
Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER
NZXT Kraken X72
Team Group Xtreem "8Pack Edition" 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C16 3600MHz Quad Channel Kit - Black
Seasonic Focus Plus 750W 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply
Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X Digital Midi Tower Glass Gaming Case

I have the latest drivers and flashed the BIOS. XMP profile is on.

The issues I'm having:

1. CPU idles at 4325mhz per core even when doing nothing. Task manager shows <1% usage.
2. If I run Cinebench, it completes about 3/4 of the render but then resets, Windows boots up again fine. If I turn off XMP, Cinebench works, but memory speed drops to 2200mhz.

Screenshot of BIOS:

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks

What Windows power plan you're using?
I think AMD updated their Ryzen power plan, because some monitoring softwares triggering ramping up of clock speeds.
Chipset drivers should install power plan for being able to select it in Windows.

For memory try manually setting DRAM Voltage to values in between 1.35V 1.4V.
Who knows if that auto setting doesn't automatically hold correct voltage.
Also set DRAM Termination voltage to half of it while at it.

OK I'm on balanced power profile now.

I'm running the RAM at 3533mhz now and can get through Cinebench R20 with a score of 4766pts. Should I just be happy with that?

I tried altering the values mentioned above but still couldn't get it stable at 3600mhz.
