NEW BUILD - PSU Cable Help Please

Hi guys

Currently started my new rig build, see items in sig below

I Have an XFX 850W Silver Modular PSU and Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H MOBO

I have the following connectors that are already connected to the PSU (see pictures below)

In the top left hand side of the MOBO I have an 8 pin ATX_12V_2X4 connector

Are one of the Cables in the pictures above supposed to fit here?

If so, they are too short, what can I do to fix this?

Are extension cables avaiable?

f so, what one do I need from O/C's?

was there not one in the motherboard box, i done a z77 build pn thursday and neede one, alas it was a msi board but thaught they would all have them

the psu should have a 4+4 pin and a 12v 8 pin connector

I believe that you can use either, although the single 8 pin would probably be more convenient. If you wish to do a bit of colour matching with the motherboard/other components, pick a BitFenix braided 8 pin EPS extension in a colour that matches from here:

No, there wasnt an extension cable in the MOBO or PSU box

if u go for the bitfenix, route the cable up the back of the case and out throught the motherboard cut out, u shouldnt even see it over the cooler

The cable you can see in the pic above is from the two K2 cooling fans on the CPU power header
